This is the knife I was grumbling about last week. It put a valiant effort. 12 inches overall with a 6.5 inch edge. Low layer 15n20 and 1095, stabilized spalted maple with G10 accents. Stainless guard and domed pin. Several firsts on this one. Pretty cool book match on the scales.

Love the spalting in the maple with its following the damascus pattern.

Very nice work! I agree with the others.... the handle and blade really fit well together. This piece is eye-catching to say the least.

Thanks everyone. I had thought about using Koa but while poking around in the handle block stash the spalted maple spoke up. Sometimes it pays to listen.

Jessie, you indeed won the fight! The handle material and the Damascus compliment each other well! It appears the handle is a continuation of the Damascus!
