Just a mild 350 with 350 trans. S10 rear end with 3.0 gears. Cruises 70mph at about 2200rpms. Vintage A/C system. Nice and cold. Power windows and power driver's seat. I'm a radio producer in my "grown up" job. So the gear shift knob is appropriate. We stripped it down to a shell and redid...
I haven't been on the forum in quite awhile. Took a break to rebuild a hotrod among other things. Been back in the knife shop lately and completed a few. Have several in progress on my bench.

The engravings are equal in depth to my electro etch. You can catch a fingernail in them. Depending on your laser settings you can just mark it or cut all the way through. :)
I have a 10w diode laser that I use for wood projects.
A knife display.
I also have a 60w MOPA fiber laser. I haven't had it long but here is some of the work I've done with it.
Finished up a filet knife for a good friend. AEB-L stainless. Brook trout scales with stainless pins and white liners. Special thanks to Gene Kimmi for sending me the pattern.
That's awesome! My son has a scrimshawed knife I made him and a black squirrel he wants to mount. That would make a great display. Do you mind if I steal your idea? What type magnets did you use?
Lost my Dad in 2020. I've been missing him so I decided to make a tribute knife to him. He loved turkey hunting so the scales have feathers from a turkey he killed over twenty-five years ago. Gonna do some laser engraving on the blade when I get it finished.
Working on my first filet knife also.
