I am a retired school administrator who has been collecting knives since I was in the fourth grade. For Christmas my fourth grade teacher gave me one of my first knives--different time huh? In 1975 I attended the Knifemakers Guiild show in Kansas City and decided I would like to make knives someday. When time and money were available I gathered equipment and began learning how to make knives. I'm not very good as of yet but other than my grandchildren, there aren't many things I enjoy more than knives.
