I think I've got this figured out. IMHO it's a PAL RH-38. Between the “RH” and the “-38” is a circle with “PAL” in it, and beneath that “MADE IN U.S.A.” Enclosed are pictures of what I've found. I'd really appreciate confirmation. And a hearty THANK YOU.

I dug this out of the bottom of my dad's tool box. It's definitely out of my field (trachtenmesser. puukko and other strange knives). The only marking is very worn (shown enclosed). The blade measures 5 3/4 inches long. This is quite utilitarian. Do you recognize that name. Many thanks for your...
