Will a bench grinder work?

Sorry for some crazy questions. I appreciate all the replies. On my used kitchen knives - if I grind the serrated edge off should I draw a new line to follow? Any metal grinding cleaning tips?

Here is another knife I would like clean up.

I also have six throwing knives that I'd like to play with. 5-1/2" overall length. Handle is almost 3". Less than 0.125" thick. I was thinking some thin .125 or thinner handle pieces. Just to play. The handle area has 3 slots, I may need to drill a hole. Of course paracord is the norm, but...

I have an old Scout folding knife. I would like to create new handle inserts and the blades could use some work. A little rust and sharpening are needed. Is it possible to take the folder apart to clean the blades?

What all can I do to the actual blade on these used knives I bought? Clean up and polish and sharpen? Tips?

I got my used knives.... I found a few of my knives I'm sure could be revamped too.

I just got 16 steak knives for 3 bucks...... All wooden handles. I need to find out how to remove the handle? I assume I need new handle pins. Should I recondition a few of the original handles? I also need to pick out some new wood.

What about older steak knives. Could I replace the handles? I found some on my local FB Marketplace. I'm sure I could find older knives to recondition if I could get to a flea market, but COVID closed those.

Hello all I am new to knife making and I'm looking for ideas and on where to start. Should I start with a starter kit or just start off by scratch or start off with a wooden knife. Just looking for tips. Thank you. Doug
