Black Mamba Knives

Black Mamba Knives has been hand-forging Damascus steel blades in Memphis, Tennessee since 2009. Mark Kovalsky started the shop with a coal forge and a secondhand anvil, and still works blades by hand today. We make hunting knives, folding pocket knives, balisong butterfly knives, chef and kitchen knives, swords, axes and fully custom commissions. Blades are held at 58-60 HRC — hard enough to keep an edge, not so hard they chip on bone. Every knife carries a lifetime warranty, and if something we made is not right it comes back to the shop. That has been the rule since 2009.
