Bob Warner KNIFE MAKER Nov 26, 2010 #6 I have made a few and gave Chris Crawford the information he used to do a tutorial on my design. If you follow that, you will get a good machine. 12V is better than 25V, I don't remember what the tutorial says. Boss Dog has the same information and his version of the tutorial on his site also. http://www.mickleyknives.com/html/etching_tutorial.html Chris and Tracey have gotten more mileage out of the tutorials than I have. There is a lot better machine that I built for a video for Centercross Instructional Videos. It etches, anodizes and plates.

Fellhoelter Well-Known Member Nov 27, 2010 #7 From those that built using that tutorial, did you ground one of the output wires like Chris advises in step 1B? If so, what happened? Seems like a dead short sending one of the outputs to ground like that.
