I bought a new motor for my kmg clone i just made. Now i need help finding the right vfd for this motor. The motor is like this =

Dayton 3N445A
2HP
RPM 3450 & 2350
3 ph
HZ 60 & 50
AMP 6.2
Volts 208-220 / 440

If anyone can help it would be lots of help!
THANKS

I have a KBAC-27D and my manual says it will handle that motor. It is a great VFD and it's NEMA 4 rated, so you don't have to worry about metal dust shorting it out.

The KB is a great unit. I bought a 2hp TECO FM50 (basically a NEMA1 enclosure) and built a clean box for it for my KMG. It's worked great so far as well.

Basically, all you need to do is find a VFD that takes 220V single phase and converts it to 220V 3 phase. Make sure it's rated for at least the same or more horsepower as your motor. As Chris alluded to, you need to make sure you consider the housing. If it's NEMA4, it's good to go. If it's anything less, you'll need to protect it from metal dust.
