Here's my latest plus a new steel for me. The blade is out of 1080+ and its 4", the fittings are iron on this one and not of the wrought like I normally use but still from a wagon wheel. I'm not sure if the handle is deer or elk stag but I sure like it. :D 7 3/4" overall.

Knife looks great Ray. Iron fittings look great with the blond bone. Very cool. And the quench line came out better than I might have expected with this stuff.

I've been thinking about ordering some + to try, but wasn't sure the analysis they give would give properties that much better than 1080.

I take it you like it? Beyond the obvious just looking good I mean.

Ray, 411= information. Got that from my 16 year old grand daughter. :D
How do you compare it to Aldo's 1084FG?

I don't have any of Aldo's 1084FG. I really don't need anymore new steel unless I live for another 80 years.

I haven't spoken 16 year old daughter language for 16 years. :D
