Here it is guys! This one is finished and ready for delivery!
Specs.
300mm blade, Tsunami pattern damascus steel,1080 and 15n20. RC 59/60,
2.5mm above the heel tapering to 1mm a inch behind the tip.
Heel height is 47.1mm and the balance point is right at the heel.
Western Wa style handle slight taper. With Hippo ivory and stabilized birch burl. Mosaic pins and Tsunami wave engraved stainless pins. Engraving by my friend, Doug Sutherland.
Custom presentation box, Walnut with cocobolo burl handle and brass fittings. Made by another great friend and wood worker extraordinaire, Thomas Blevins.
I feel that this knife and the combined efforts of myself and these other great craftsman, have come together to make this Suji quite exceptional..
