Titanium thickness??

I have always used .07 Titanium for my linerlocks...I am wanting to go with something a little thinner...Would .04-.05 be ok?
What size screws do most use for small to mid size linerlock ....Frame screws, and handle screws
Also...what I am trying to accomplish is thinner knives,I have always used 1/8 1095...Is 1/8 the thinnest I can get 1095,if so
what other steel would you guys recommend, that is easily heat treated, and under 1/8....I may have to have it surface ground?

Thanks in advance for any help..

God bless,
Keith

Hi Keith, I've been using .045 to .050 on the folders I have made. Typical screws are 0-80 thread. I've got a surface grinder so I can make my blades and spacers what ever I need. I keep the blades to about .100 thick, and surface grind it after heat treating. I've only used simple carbon steel, but picked up some CPM154 and SS envelopes at the hammer-in at Tracy's last weekend. I'll try playing with that soon. If you need something ground, send me a p.m.

Thanks Jim,do you use the same size screws for the frame and handles?
What size drill do I need for that tap?
Hey,thanks,I may talk to ya about the surface griinding.

God bless,
Keith
