Thickness issue

Hi

I have a order of two Bowie's but I live in Europe, so not very familiar with this kind of blade... Do you think 5/32 is thin or right about for a almost 16 inch Bowie???

Thanks!

I agree with the Count - 5/32 is too thin. 3/16 would be better but for that length 1/4" steel would probably work the best.

Dosen't the 1/4 thickness turns the blade very heavy???

Thanks!!!!

You can go both ways.

You can keep full thickness from guard to tip for those that like to batton through wood that should have had an axe.

Or

You can apply a good distal taper from guard to tip and that blade will be surprisingly and deceptively light, fast and handy
Fighter ish

Thanks

The blade will be full tang, more or less like this one
