Based in the UK like a lot of the new members here, been lurking for a while, enjoying the WIPs and reading the back catalogue of threads.
I cook a lot, so started looking for some knives that were better, bought a few and then found the forums and it's all got a bit out of hand.
Have a general obsession with sharpness, it was the realisation that my wood working tools could make wood shavings a few thou thick and my kitchen knives struggled with tomatoes that started the journey. Freehand mostly on waterstones, but any damage will be seen to on the grinder.
Dabbling more and more with making knives, and having spent most of the evening putting up a shed I nearly have somewhere to do it.
