hi,
there seems to some steel we just can't get over here, at least in small quantities. our friends on the east side of the pond have steel available that is equal to or better than the Hitachi stuff, that we cant buy either. Here are some sources that carry 1.2519[about equal to aogami bluepapersteel(which you can find here http://www.mehr-als-werkzeug.de/product/719605/Blue-Paper-Steel-from-Japan-1000-x-10-x-3-mm.htm) and 1.2842 or O2.

the sites are in german, but if you use google chrome browser, it will translate for you. if not, stahl is steel, the grades are DIN, the price is in euros. if you click on a steel, it will have a list of steel makeup(C is carbon whether in US or germany) these places are knife making supply stores, so they have other stuff besides steel.
as i said in a different thread, why should our brothers east and west of us, be the only ones with high carbon and or high tungsten, high purity tool steel to use for knives.
i have a couple more places to look at, will post links once i have more info
