Ephesians 2...We are each born with our Soul/Spirit already inside us. This part of us is *I am*. We can not live without it.
You are quite right, we cannot live without it, and are spiritually dead without it. This is a picture of the fallen man, the unfortunate natural state of man since the fall of Adam. And you were dead in your trespasses and sins....
This is what it means to be born again, to become a new creation, to become spiritually alive. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
We have been saved (to rescue one who is in danger of destruction) by grace (unmerited, undeserved mercy and favor), through believing (faith). For one who has not heard the gospel (Rom.10:17), who has not believed, they have no access, no admission to this grace (Rom.5:2).For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
That is the gospel in a nutshell, what we must believe to be saved. When we are saved, God gives us a new spirit, "which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth" (Eph.4:24). This is what it means to be born from above.you yourselves know the thing which took place throughout all Judea, starting from Galilee, after the baptism which John proclaimed. You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. We are witnesses of all the things He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They also put Him to death by hanging Him on a cross. God raised Him up on the third day and granted that He become visible not to all the people, but to witnesses who were chosen beforehand by God, that is, to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. And He ordered us to preach to the people, and solemnly to testify that this is the One who has been appointed by God as Judge of the living and the dead. Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins. (Acts 10:37-43)
Water can appear as solid, liquid, or gas... but it is still water. I've quit trying to understand it, as it is beyond my carnal mind's ability to fully comprehend. My spirit understands it perfectly...
There is God who is above, the Father.
There is God who became flesh, the Son.
There is God who dwells within me, the Spirit.
They are one.
Simple as that...
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God...
The thing that I love about God (one of many) is that He put us on a truth journey, a God journey.
Yep.
... Let's just stay the course and do what we can.
I believe what you are saying is referred to as modalism or *Oneness* as opposed to trinitarianism.
I am with you on it, but there might be even more to it.
Jesus said, "I am the vine, you are the branches."
Where does this faith originate or come from, if not from Jesus?
romans 10:17 "Faith cometh from hearing and hearing from the Word of God"
I have so much faith in Jesus, I believe everyone will go to heaven after they die.
The idea of anyone *literally* going to hell for eternity is just off the table for me.
