Shocks

Upgraded my platens to ceramic glass which work superb, only downside is static shocks. What the best way to stop this....maybe run a wire to ground from the chassis of the grinder?

That will work or you can spray the backside of the belt with static guard from the laundry section of you local store. Same stuff the wife uses to make the wrinkles fall out of clothes!!

You can get it in your favorite scent of unscented if you are like me and don't care for the perfume smell!

What Cliff say's, but I use regular dish soap and water in a spray bottle. that's what I use at work, it's required to suppress static when working on plastic gas mains that are blowing.

I keep a can of anti static spray next to my grinder just like C Craft says. Usually it's only an issue when the humidity is low.

Finally, something good about our humidity down here...at 200% humidity I should never get shocked.
