Sheep Horn Cleaver

After seeing a picture, KT had, of a cleaver made by Troy Christianson, I knew that I wanted to do one.
The overall length is 10" with a 6" leaf spring blade. The handle is Merino Sheep horn. This was a real fun project. Thanks Troy and KT for the inspiration.

Wade I am so glad you showed this piece. It is a Great piece of work and the display couldn't be any nicer . It just keeps getting better and better. KT:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I love your take on the cleaver and I am a big fan of Marino sheep horn. Could I ask, did you dye the horn to get it dark like that, and, if it isn't a secret process, with what? The darker colour gives it such a rugged 'wanna use' look.

The color came from heat, a torch. Just be careful not to over heat. The main thing is have fun...............
