I really don't see anything glaring?
Please understand that when I said it looks very functional and that's what counts in a fillet, I meant that people will make or buy , say a Bowie knife all done up and never use it because they just like the way it looks.
But I have never seen a display fillet knife! Have you? A fillet knife is made and purchased to be used till its covered in fish guts and scales etc.

From the pic and the description of 440C, Great choice in my book for a fillet in water and guts" Blade length of 7" is excellent, Nickel silver or stainless pins, another fine choice over brass or copper. Tigerwood, Looks great and is a durable handle wood and the handle looks easy to index with your hand.
My only question would be what RC did you harden the blade too?

I really think you did great on this one. Keep them coming.
