I am building my first liner lock, from Tracy's Chow Chow kit and have a technical question.
When countersinking the handle material for the pivot, is it proper to have the male-bolt tighten down precisely onto the female side? or to have a gap so that you are able to adjust the tightness of the blade?
My initial thought is that it needs to tighten against the other side of the pivot, and not against the handle material, BUT, this pivot has very little extra length when assembled. Since I've never built one of these, I guess that tolerance is something i have no reference for yet.
Thanks for any ideas in advance.
