Piggy back set

I added a parasite to my skinner .....No edge on the knives yet I still have to get the sheath made, the knives are 8 1/2" with a 4" blade the parasite is 5 5/8" with a 2 1/2" blade length, the larger one has a tapered tang and both have dovetailed bolsters and thumb ramp. Both have carbon fiber for a handle.
This set is going to Alaska.

That's a really nice set- like the rear bolster bolster on the big one- what kind of steel did you use? going to AK I would assume some kind of SS

Bolsters are 416 stainless and the blade steel is ATS-34. I ground enough blades to make a dozen sets of these....most in ATS-34 I also used CPM D2 and D2.
