Just wanted to share a quick shot of my work in progress. I've take a bit of a hiatus from knife making to pursue knots, pipes, and shaving gear but today I just had to grind something. I decided to do a few knives since there are a couple of birthdays coming up within the family in the following months. Anyhow, I'll be making a few petty shape knives and 240mm gyutos.
Here are the first two... all will be in 01, 61-63hrc and adorned with a either two tone Amboyna burl or Buck Eye Burl. Oh, and all are going to sport a convex grind as you can see on the first petty.
