Mikey,
Now is a good time to get Mikey Jr. started with good safety practices. I'm sure you don't want him to have anything get in his eyes. Safety glasses are in order here.

Laurence your so right.. I have safety glasses at my stations and he does wear them, but it got by me because of the excitement. No excuses.. Your right!

This is an awesome thing to watch unfold. You and your son are two great men. I think I speak for everyone in saying that we are proud to call you a friend Mikey.

Looking forward to seeing more progress. Thanks for sharing the story and wip. Your son's friend and father are in my prayers.

I've got a feeling your son is going to grow into one heck of a man Mike.
Head and shoulders above most with a good moral compass..... and a great reflection on you.

Rudy

Thanks guys , you're all awesome . I have to say I'm very pleased at the way this knife is coming . The truth is , I really didn't care , to me it was more about what was going on inside that boy and what he was creating with his two hands.. Of coarse I pointed and directed , but he is making the whole knife 95% of it .. I'm very pleased with his eye for detail and he's pushing himself to really making a beautiful knife.. I'm very pleased and proud !
Here's the next group of work.

I have to tell you guys .. I know I said it before but I don't care I'm saying it again.. I'm so proud of my son! I think he did an amazing job with this knife. This week meant so much to me working along side him on this build.. He had a goal and didn't stray from it at all . Not even for a minute..

Al's story about his father and his brother really touched Mikey and taught him something. It taught him that even when your down and you have FAITH! , you can keep moving forward. It such a powerful message that sits well with me and hopefully it will help someone else.

Hey guys thanks for taking this ride with Mikey and I on this great experience and lesson. This is truly something that ill never forget.

Glad to just see what strong, learning and wondeful time you and Mikey Jr. are having with this build.
Tell Mikey what a handsome knife he has made for his friend and his friends father.

Great job Mike jr.
You'll never feel better than the moment your freinds' father lays eyes on it. Something that will stay with you forever.
