Occlusion in bolster pin

My next knife has been going real well until I ran into a problem with an occlusion in one of the bolster pins. I ground it down about as far as I dare go and it is still there. I pounded the heck out of the pins when I put these on and I thought everything was good.

Can I salvage this or should I grind them off and start over? Any suggestions welcome

Peen very lightly all around the occlusion using the ball end of the hammer. Then it may clean up on the next light grind.
You want to blend the metal of the pin with the bolster metal. Polish the ball.

I'd have a lot of nickels if I got one for every set of pins I ground off.

it looks like the inclusion is near the edge of the bolster instead of towards the inside of it. Might clean up as you shape the bolsters. I'm with Terry - I just knocked a set of bolsters back off last night due to a pin showing.

I was able to fix it, but I had to drill out the offending pin and put another one in. The bolster is a bit thinner than I wanted but still workable.
I'd post another pic but my phone just died.
