New folder

I don't post very often on Knife Dogs, usually just to share whatever I'm working on with my fellow knife enthusiasts. So once again I'm posting to share the latest folder I finished this weekend. This one took a lot of time and work over the course of several months. I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out. Thanks for looking!

Handle materials: mammoth bark ivory with ebony inlay
Bolsters and backspine: Munionlusta meteorite
Blade: multi bar Rob Calcinore damascus

a great study in contrasts...
that meteorite has a fatanstic Windmanstatten pattern...That must have been nerve racking to cut and fit...

Thanks for the replies! Yeah, the meteorite is nerve racking and hard to work with....not quite as bad as mammoth tooth though. This knife is definitely full of contrast. I kind of like doing some abstract pieces like this vs. something with more plain complimentary materials and colors. That's part of the joy of knife making, being able to put together a combination of materials, colors, etc. and coming up with something completely unique every time. Thanks again for the compliments and have a great weekend!
