dull blade

I'm thinking of building a liner lock. Would installing a roller bearing in the blade pivot hole improve performance enough to be worth the trouble? The blade on this knife is going to be 4 1/2" long & ment to be an all around camp knife. Would the bearing stand up to heavy usage or should I go with a regular pivot pin? Thanks.
