Latest Knife

This is my latest, knife number ten. O1 steel, Bocote handle.

I haven't been particularly satisfied with my sheaths, so I went back to the Loveless/Barney book, How to Make Knives and actually followed Loveless' directions. I know very unmanly of me! Anyway, I think the sheath came out well, but is a little wide for the knife. Next go round I will probably narrow the pattern by 1/4".

Thanks for looking.

Lee

Not bad, on the sheath or the knife. You might also consider getting Chuck Burrow's video on sheath making. I helped me out a lot. There are undoubtedly other good ones out there also, it's just that Mr. Borrows' is the one that I have.

Nice, if only I was brave enough to show you what a bad sheath looks like. Mine did not fit the knife, much less was it too wide. Still in my reminder box for me only to see. I got the Joe Keeslar sheath DVD. Showed me a lot. I followed that with a few meetings with master leathersmith Lui Rayon out of Miami, FL

aka Daddys Leather.
