Knifemaking Rules

Nice thing about a sharp knife is the cut heals cleaner and faster.

Bad thing is how much 'leakage' can occur before you see it (since you usually don't feel it right away). Never got my ankle but my hands have taken more than a few 'butterfly kisses'.

My maternal Grandfather was a blacksmith and I inherited more than his big hands. I also carry on most of his basic medical philisophy of "Small stuff's not worth going to the doctor for. Parts you want back probably are." I don't cauterize my wounds though.
 
Tell your friends you are making knives, and they'll be trying to trade you whitetail antlers for free knives. . . made with their antlers.
 
If the project that you're working on looks good enough, it's not. If it doesn't quite look good enough, it probably is. Go figure.
