Knife No. 14 - My first twisted handle and PVC sheath

Another knife I forged from a metal file. This was my first time twisting the handle. Was originally meant for a gift exchange, but I decided to keep this one for myself instead. From start to a finished sharped knife took me about 3, maybe 4 hours tops to complete. Also my first time doing a sheath out of pvc pipe. I learned it is a bad idea to spray paint the inside of the sheath as it started rubbing off onto the knife. I think I fixed it by sheathing and unsheathing the knife many times, and applying a little polyurethane to the inside. I call this one "Spiral Fish".

David you have hit on the answer to the age old question! "How to made a railroad spike knife that will hold an edge?" Very creative use of materials. A file knife that looks like RRS knife. I can see why you kept this one.
