is 11/64 too thin?

I bought some damascus from the blade show It was labled 3/16 well I got it home cut out my blade and ground it. I then put a claiber on it to start the guard and realized it is just under 11/64" thick. Is this too thin for a 9" blade Bowie? I never use anything under 1/4 on my bowies but decided to use 3/16 this time but now I am concerned. Please give me your thoughts.

You'll be fine, 11/64" is .171 which is .016" from 3/16. Nobody would notice the difference between the two.

The big Musso Bowie is is 7/32" at it's thickest, then tapers to 3/16". The Blade is 13 3/4" long x 2 1/2" wide. Your blade should be fine.
