How About A Bruce Bump Blade Gallery

I probably shouldn't say this in a public forum, but the nanny bot at work won't let anyone view this forum anyway. I was working at home yesterday, and I took a few minutes to sneak down to my shop and hung my new sign. It's a whole different place now. Heh. ;)

Lucy didnt share our joy. She wasnt allowed to eat candy either but snuck in the other room and ate about a weeks worth of dog food from Gizmo that is here visiting.
 
Playing around with the panoramic camera Bruce? I love that picture! You have the greatest shop in town. I need a big version though, to really generate a full spectrum of jealousy. ;)

This is the Dana Hackney billet with the Texas Wind pattern imprinted into it. (edited) Its hard to believe its only his second billet of damascus. We had a great time and burned about 15 gallons of propane.

That is some beautiful grinding Bruce! I like the idea of the pointy test assembly pins too. I'm busily taking notes.
 
Hi gang!

At Bruce's prompting I got registered on KnifeDogs :).

I'm thoroughly enjoying the pictoral journey of the Bump knife factory, especially
since I got the opportunity to visit it in person last weekend2thumbs.

Bruce and his dear wife, Kaye, and their son Mike's family treated Sandy and I
like royalty. You won't find a nicer bunch of folks anywhere. Bruce and I probably
spent closet to 20 hours in his shop during our stay. He answered a ton of my
questions plus unloaded a ton of tips and tricks that will be of great help to me.
I've already put some of that tutoring to work - thanks Bruce!!!

I thought I would add a note to an early post that Bruce made about this being
my first damascus billet. It's actually my second one. This September Sandy
an I had the privelege of visiting Steve and Malissa Kelly at there home in
Big Fork,MT. They also rolled out the red carpet for us and Steve took time
from his busy schedule to show me the ropes on creating a nice damascus
billet. We got to use his Big Blue air hammer in cooking this billet up. Man,
that was fun! ......just wanted to make sure that Steve got some well deserved
credit too. We had just expected to make a quicjk visit of the Kelly's hacienda
but they opened up there home to us and had us cancel our motel reservations
and stay the night with them. That's the kind of folks we so often meet in this
knifemakers realm - country hospitality is still alive an well!

Aw Bruce, you're killin me man! That is absolutely fantastic. I always carry a trapper, just the most useful pattern I know, but that is the sweetest one I've ever seen. Holy cow man, you made my day!!! Two days in a row! ;) Thanks!
 
Awsome Bruce!

I can see that I'm going to have to gather some $ up and order one of these
units. I saw this in person in the making, just before it was assembled.

I love the clean lines and those scales add a wonderful touch to the
package.
