High-Ride A.S. Sheath

Hello Everyone,

This is a sheath I just finished for a knife made by Ray Laconico. It is a high-ride Apocalyptic Survivor style sheath with a locking welt, made of 7-9oz horsehide and hand-stitched with hemp thread.

Billy--do you mean the pitted areas? I use black in the pitted areas, and use varying amounts of brown dye depending on how dark or light I want certain areas to be.

The sheath turned out well. 2thumbs So I got a question!
How are you doing the pitted areas?
Looks almost like a dremmel tool with an engraver head was used!
If not, how was that achieved if you don’t mind me asking?

Thanks! I actually use a backgrounding stamp that you can get from Tandy, I just use it at varying angles to get the patterns I want. I also have one more trick, but I'll keep that one to myself :p
