hidden tang holder

when I started doing hidden tangs,I had a problem with control at the grinder.I was used to having something to hold on to on the handle end.I had a mortise tang handle I had made out of purpleheart that was to ugly to use on a knife,so I figured I could put a set-screw in it and use it.Being lazy by nature,I just took a piece of banding material that was a half inch wide, and bent it in the shape of a rainbow.This stuff has carbon in it, and makes a decent spring.Stuck it in the slot,and it holds the tang tight.Quick in and out.helps me a bunch...I'll go back to my cave now, you fellers have a good day-be safe...Tom
