Hi New here and also to knife making

Hi I'm Walt retired 23 years USAF I live in the seacoast area of New hampshire. I'd like to find other people in this area that are into knife making as well. I look forward to talking with people who know more about the art of knife making . I have the skill to make anything, I have worked for myself doing home remodeling for the past 23 years. I have always want to try my hand in this art, and it is an art to make the knife I see on this site. I will be posting question later on what type of steel is the best for someone first knife ,as far as making one and also heat treating it as well.

I have Hammer-Ins and have students over on Saturdays. Checkout the Southern New England Knife Makers Guild forum for updates of what is going on. Will have a Hammer-In Mid-April next year here at my shop.
