My name is Jeremy. I have always liked to figure out how to build things for myself. In the past I have built things like electric guitars and hunting gear (treestands and what not). A couple of years ago I was on an archery forum and I saw guys were building their own knives. I work in my families tool and die shop, so i figured I could do that. Here is my first knife.
The blade is O-1 tool steel and the scales are some mahogany I had left over from one of my guitars.
Here is my second knife.

This blade is also O-1. The scales are a combination of rosewood and bloodwood (also guitar leftovers). This skinning knife was my first attempt at grinding the blade relief. It did not go so well...lol. It was also my first try at some file work.
Anyway, I got it in my head to try and make some kind of a folding knife and in researching that I came across this forum. I think my next project is going to be some sort of a framelock type knife.
