I just signed up for a membership here at the recommendation of several knifemakers at the Southern Alberta Hammer In. I have been making knives for a bit over a year and a half, but I have always had hobbies that were creative including being a musician, making musical instruments, making custom bicycles, motorcycle and auto performance mods etc. I have done a fair amount of woodworking. I like to make kitchen knives, hunters, skinners, and bowie/fighter knives. I go by Willie71 on another forum, but this one reset me to my name for some reason. My favorite part of knifemaking is the heat treating. I am a bit of a nerd that way.
