I'm new to black smithing/ knife making but Im HOOKED! I've made my own brake drum forge to start myself off and Im having a blast. I've just recently finished my 6th knife. Making plenty of mistakes along the way but learning as I go. Here is the most recent knife I've just completed. I used leaf spring from an old hay cart I found in the woods. I used a cherry burl and elm burl from my property for the handle. Also a piece of antler to finish it off. I'm still as green as they come but I love it.

Good start. I would try and change out the wood table. A little ember and wood may not like each other as you continue the journey.
