Hey guys I am doing another knife with dewey carta scales and was just thinking how was everyone else
doing the final finish on there's. So chime in and let us now how you are doing yours.
Here is a pic of mine just first shaping grind on it, then I will go to a shop roll next. From there I was going to wing it :les:

I hand sand it down to 800, wipe it clean with WD40, Followed by two coats of hand rubbed tung oil. Then buff with white compound and wax it with a mixture of beeswax, linseed, and turpentine, wipe off and buff again . Gives me a nice finish.
 
thanks that I might try, my first one went to 600 grit then hit with green buffing compound. That was pretty nice but was wanting to try something different this go around.. Thanks George.
