I was wondering what type of specs make for a fast quench oil? I have been searching for lower cost alternatives that would rival Parks 50 and I was sent some specs but don't know enough to make an educated decision....
This is what i was given for a different "fast quench" oil.
1. Color Dark Amber
2. Odor Characteristic
3. Appearance Clear, Liquid
4. Viscosity @ 40°C CST 10.3 – 15.0
40° C SUS 60- 70
5. A.P.I. Gravity 60°F 34.0 Typical
6. Specific Gravity 60° F 0.8528 Typical
7. Density (LBS/GAL) 7.102
8. Flash Point 373°F
9. Pour Point +5°F
10. Quench Test ASTM D3520 6-10 Seconds chrome nickel ball
What can you guys tell me about these specs and if anyone has the specs for Parks 50 that would help as well.
thanks!!!
Brian
