Cutting oils.

which boelube? amazon carries about 6 or 7 different boelube machining lube.
for drilling, i keep drill bits sharp, speed low, and go gentle on the feed. for drilling you need cool, so most any oil will work. I have used ice water in a pinch. cobalt HS steel, M35 or M42 seems to make a difference also. gentle with the feed and something to cool them and they will 100s of holes.

the Boelube i picked up from amazon is a tube of dry white compound. I also saw there are multiple options but this is what I got and I love it.

I’m not drilling 50000 holes per day so this ought to last me a very long time.

Years ago I mixed lanolin with Moly-dee...for roll tapping. It worked good on everything(drilling reaming, etc. stuck well to the tools)...but stinks....which is why i quit using it.

The Boelube I got is a pink, waxy dry compound. Not sure of the differences but the size tube John posted is what I have. It will last a LONG time.

I think I asked this one time before but what do you do just plunge the bit into it??
