Forget the Craftsman 10".
Just like Ed says, I've never had a straight cut out of that thing. After wasting a half day trying to customize it, it has sat under one of my benches for 6 years.....I'm letting it think about what it's done. The Reliant looks adequate for the money. I've had my HF bandsaw since 1986, the only minor problem is keeping the gearbox greased. It leaks around the shaft, not a huge problem after all these years. I thought about turning the Craftsman 10" into a sander but that brain cell died long ago.

I think I might go with the HF bandsaw. It's a two in one after all and it's not much more than the reliant. If all else fails then i'll see if the reliant is still being offered.
