So, I got this Rossi lever gun that I hunt with and I want to put one of those big loop levers on it. I've looked around and cant seem to find anyone who makes one for it. My question is, if I take the lever off of the gun, can you enlarge the loop? I'm talking to blacksmiths or someone with access to machinery that can / and is willing to take on a job like this.

In the cold months of hunting season it is a tight fit for a gloved hand. I do like the look of the large loop levergun but the reason for the change is to give me more room for my hand.
If anyone knows of a source for off the shelf replacements please let me know. It's a Rossi '92 in .44 Mag.
This wont be happening until after the first of the year because I will be using the gun up until the end of the year for deer hunting.
