A couple of blades i just finished up.

Still need to do the leather work for these two and take some good photos. First is a 26 inch brush sword with a 18 inch blade forged from 5160 with bubinga scales.My hats off to the guys that make swords by hand without a power hamer,lot of work ! Next is a Rifleman forged also from 5160 with a guard forged from wrought iron round and bar brass spacer,moose antler and capped off with brass and hard rock maple burl.

I'm not much on the sword myself,that being said I did it primarily to challenge myself and push my own limits. Plus its sure is fun too swing around and chop stuff. The Rifleman well she is just one sexy blade in my opinion.

That is why they are cool. I did a shorter one a few years ago and used it this year to harvest sugar cane. For the first four hours it was fun swinging it...after that not so much.
