Well I couldnt help myself after I made my first folding knife I just had to make another but this time I tried a two blade slippy. A bit more challenging but fun at the same time. I do believe im hooked on these folders. Anyway here are a few raw pics I took from my phone in the shop today of my progress. I still have a bit to go on it but almost done. I'm using o-1 tool steel and mesquite wood for the handles so im thinking about acid etching both the blades and the springs to give it some contrast. I have to be careful and cover up the sides of the springs and the pivots on the blades so the acid wont eat away and ruin the fit. What do you guys think? The 1/16" pin you see just behind the bolster is an oops on my part. I wasn't paying attention when I was grinding the tension on the spring and I ground past the rest of the kick on the blade so the blade dropped on me and rather than cut another spring and wast that time I just opted to install the pin as a rest for the kicker and raise the blade back up. The pin will be hidden behind the handles.
