This was my very first, made earlier this year. Cut from a lawn mower blade, no heat treatment. Oak scales made from an oak branch snagged from the firewood pile. Made it for my son to whittle with. My last (second) is done but I haven't taken pics yet.

I was able to get the holes added. You can pretty much forget drilling this stuff! Lesson learned!! Now to get this bad boy finished.
