    Don't know that I have "real knowledge" but I'll give you my 2 cents... The first few I made I tempered the spring @1150 for 2 hrs and the springs were a little stiff. I've since bumped it up to 1170 and they feel about right. Might have to tinker with it a little to find the sweet spot with...

    OK, here's my 2 cents worth...I would opt for tip down if the blade will have a flipper tab on it. That way it will be less likely to come open in your pocket and if it does happen to come open a little then the removal of it from your pocket will tend to close the blade rather than have it...

    Looks great to me! If I were going to change anything it would be to use a little thicker steel for the blade so the nail nick could be a little deeper but that might detract from the thin and light mojo you were going for. Very nice work!
