Just finished up the second dvd for the second time :0)
Nice way to spend the first day of the New Year... start things out right!
Enjoyed it and learned just as much if not more the second time...
Thanks Paul and best to you and yours!
Craig
I'm a total newbie on this... sorta hooked on it now...
But watching these videos with Paul are really helpful to me...
Thanks Paul!
I've also got the Rawhide dvd with John Cohea ... also a goodie!
And way back I got one (VHS that's how far back I got it) I think with Chuck Burrows...
Aloha Paul and thanks for the information....
I still need to watch carefully the second dvd... I'd love to learn the inlay as well...
I'll give them a call on the deerskin... do I need to specify anything special like veg tan etc....?
Thanks again... those dvds are very helpful and inspiring...
Aloha All!
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and are gearing up for their terrific New Year Celebrations.
Here's my question. I watched Paul Long's sheath making video... the first one... and loved the concept of lining the sheath with the darker leather...
What kind of leather is...
Aloha Paul,
Here you go... http://springfieldleather.com/store/product/4271/Blade%2CPlastic%2CBeveler/

By the way... Thanks for all the information and tips in the video... good...
Thanks for input and the tips...
Especially on the Tippman Boss... sometimes I can use all the help I can get :0)
And for the tip on the 5ply... was wondering if more is better when I saw it came in 6 and 7 ply as well...
I also read something about beeswax and adding something else... gonna...
Aloha all...
Wanna start making my own sheaths and leather goods in general... guess I got stung by the "leather bug"
I sure would appreciate any thoughts on the best threads to use for stitching.... general... inlay.... etc...
I've got a Tippman Boss that I bought years ago and never...
