Here are some pipe hawks I built.

I've used 316, 303, & 416 for guards & but caps. 300 series stainless is a little harder to work. I friction fit & pin my guards & don't mess with solder.

The originals could have possibly been cast.

What type of epoxy would you use to join micarta to the handle? 5 min epoxy or Gorilla Glue. Or something different? Thanks.

I'm thinking of building a liner lock. Would installing a roller bearing in the blade pivot hole improve performance enough to be worth the trouble? The blade on this knife is going to be 4 1/2" long & ment to be an all around camp knife. Would the bearing stand up to heavy usage or should I go...
