wood carving a handel help ?

i want to know a easy way to carve a red oak handle im adding a picture its not my work

You sorta put a kabosh on the whole thing when you said "a easy way". Carving any handle in the manner shown in the photos is time and labor intensive.....in red oak....with it's huge grain, double that!
