Both look very nice. How robust is the dichrolam and how easy is it to work with.

Dichrolam is a backing of .060 Dichrolam over acrylic. As long as you don’t grind down into the laminar layer, you’re good. I’d say it’s similar in workability as kirinite or other a acrylic based scales. From a durability perspective, drops would likely result in marring, but as long as it didn’t crack the acrylic, it should sand and buff back out fine. I take it up to a 3000 grit and then buff with a pink scratch less compound very lightly as to not melt it. In working with other similar materials, the heat produced with heavy handed buffing can leave smears and streaks.
