Small fighter/large hunter??

This is the first knife I've finished in two months.
Been a busy summer.
W1 forged from 3/4 round.
Koa.
wrought iron and copper.
11 inches OAL.

say - that is a beaut. great hamon, great overall shape and grinding, too. How did you stain the maple? I just bought some ferric nitrate to make aqua fortis, and I need any tips available.

Ron, thats a hunter I made for my nephew last Christmas.
It is 1080, stainless bolsters, and African black wood burl(pics don't do it justice).
That piece of wood had bowie knife written all over it but I couldn't tell the kid no. Oh well here it is, and thanks.
